Bait, especially boilies, is more often
than not the most personal piece of the jigsaw that all carp anglers
look to for completing the puzzle to outwit their targets. However,
a good quality bait is often overlooked in favour of a well known
brand or old favourite that has 'done the business' everywhere
before. Of course, all our guests are more than welcome to bring
their own BOILIES (see rules about particle) to The Retreat,
however, we do have our own very high quality Retreat Specials
available on site.
These baits have been used since day one at the lake and have
proven themselves a great fish catcher. Obviously, the continuity of
regular application by visiting anglers and through feeding during
the winter/spring has seen the Specials become a stable food source,
and no doubt, something a bit different may prove productive some
weeks but we are confident that you won't be disappointed with them
and of course, getting your bait out here, leaves more room in the
car for other 'essentials' on the way home.
Our 'Retreat Specials' are made for us as Freezer Baits.
For anglers wishing to use particles at The Retreat, please
note that these can only be used if purchased on site. No particle
or nuts, cooked or raw to be brought on site! This precaution allows
us to monitor the quantity and quality of particle being used.
